Pavel Rehorek – Runner-up with the Jaipur Patriots in the Indian professional league

In spring 2025, Pavel Rehorek was hired as assistant coach of the Indian UTT team Jaipur Patriots. The Ultimate Table Tennis League (UTT) is considered the country's most important professional table tennis league, bringing together top national and international players in a fast-paced, spectator-friendly format. It was Rehorek's first time participating – and it was an immediate success.

With his help, the Jaipur Patriots reached the final for the first time in their history. The team impressed in the group stage with strong performances, thanks in part to the undefeated Indian national player Sreeja Akula. In the playoffs, they followed up with a 9-6 victory over Pune Jaguars, then a dramatic 8-7 win in the semifinals against Dabang Delhi TTC. In the final, the Patriots ultimately lost 4-8 to defending champions U Mumba TT, finishing as runners-up in season 6.

Rehorek praised the league format as a “table tennis party” and emphasized the exceptionally high quality of play in all teams. He particularly liked the mix of short matches, mixed doubles, and tactical depth.

The UTT was a sporting and cultural highlight for Pavel Rehorek – and further proof of his ability to successfully coach international teams at the highest level.
